JACK KIMMINS

Jack graduated from Terrace in 2017 with an OP1. He relished the opportunities afforded to him at school and was Vice Captain and a member of the Senior A Debating and Theatre Sports teams.

Jack is nearing completion of his Bachelor of Arts degree at UQ, majoring in Philosophy with minors in Maths and Economics. A Masters of Teaching beckons.

Jack is passionate about working with young people. He has tutored students from years 5-12 across a variety of subjects. Jack derives great satisfaction from seeing his students grow in confidence in subjects they historically struggled with. Jack has been lucky enough to work for Gregory Terrace administering their retreat program, one facet of the School’s pastoral care commitment. For Jack, the results of good mentoring extend beyond a report card.

In his spare-time you can find Jack at the Ashgrove Golf Club, normally frustrated. However Jack’s first love is AFL and the Yeronga Football Club where he coaches an U11’s side as well as playing for the Senior team.
