With the introduction of the ATAR system in Queensland schools in 2020, Julie Quinn has given consideration as to how best to support senior students, throughout their final year and specifically in the critical time of Term 4. It is at this time, when students have concluded their curriculum learning, that the focus is upon revising , reviewing and practising concepts, knowledge and skills.
Creating Students, has undertaken a significant review of QCAA information and interviewed both teachers and students of the 2020 cohort, to prepare a specific ATAR program for both Years 11 and 12. The program provides an Academic Mentor to work with the student to develop both a study plan and revision program which covers the required subject content to efficiently and effectively manage time leading into the external exam period. Additionally the Mentor has a range of tools to share and work with the Student such as mock exams, speed tests, tutoring, exam preparation and performance .The program addresses also key points in maximising outcomes in the exam setting.
